CIPF Cluster
The Principe Felipe Research Center (CIPF), with the joint financing of the European Union through the Operativa Program of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF/FEDER) of the Comunitat Valenciana 2014-2020, has improved its Computer Centre with the remodeling of the computing facilities and the acquisition of new servers and computing infrastructures.
Cluster Specifications
Currently, the computer cluster is made of 44 computer nodes, with up to 600 CPU‘s and an accumulated RAM memory of 11 TeraBytes. It uses a distributed file storage system called Lustre, which counts on a capacity of 1 PetaByte, with the capacity to storage and analyze data coming from biomedical projects.
Cluster Administration
The Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Unit is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the new computer cluster located at the Principe Felipe Research Center.
Use of the Cluster
The new CIPF cluster, as stated in the agreement between the Conselleria de Sanitat Universal i Salut Pública of the Generalitat Valenciana and the CIPF, is a public resource devoted to the storage and analysis of data coming from:
- Precision medicine data.
- Bioimage.
- Biomedical data.
The use of the cluster is open to public institutions and research groups in the Comunitat Valenciana working in biomedical fields, within the frame approved by the previously mentioned agreement. If you are interested in using the cluster, please contact us for further information.
