The Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Unit is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the computer cluster located at the Principe Felipe Research Center.
Currently, the computer cluster is made of 44 computer nodes, with up to 600 CPU’s and an accumulated RAM memory of 11 TeraBytes. It uses a distributed file storage system called Lustre, which counts on a capacity of 1 PetaByte, with the capacity to storage and analyze data coming from biomedical projects.
The cluster is a public resource devoted to the storage and analysis of data coming from:
- Precision medicine data.
- Biomedical data.
If you are interested in using the cluster, please contact us for further information.
