PRB2, Plataforma en Red de Recursos Biomoleculares y BioinformáticosPRB2 is a plattform of the Ministerio de Economia y Competitividad of the Spanish Government, of which structure comprises three technology platforms: Proteo-Red (proteomics), CeGeb (genomics), INB (bioinformatics), and two biobanks: BNADN (DNA bank) and BNLC (Cell lines bank). It entangles different complementary disciplines that allow the efficient management of complex investigations in biomedicine.
INB, Instituto Nacional de BioinformáticaINB is a technological plattform of the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII). A National Network for coordination, integration and development of Spanish Bioinformatics Resources in genomics and proteomics projects.
CIBERER, Centro de Investigación Biomédica en red de Enfermedades RarasThe Rare Diseases CIBER is one of the nine public consortiums set up at the initiative of the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII) to act as a reference, coordinate and foster research into rare diseases in Spain.
e-CienciaThe spanish network e-Ciencia promotes the scientific activities in Spain by sharing geographically distributed resources through internet.
Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad (MINECO)
Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER)
Local Government of Valencia
Supports our research in Biomedicine through the Prometeo programmes for excellence research groups.
MLPM Machine Learning for Personalized MedicineMLPM is a Marie Curie Initial Training Network, formed by a consortium of several universities, research institutions and companies located in Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, UK, Switzerland, Israel and in the USA. It involves the predoctoral training of 14 young scientists in the research field at the interface of Machine Learning and Medicine. Its goal is to educate interdisciplinary experts who will develop and employ the computational and statistical tools that are necessary to enable personalized medical treatment of patients according to their genetic and molecular properties and who are aware of the scientific, clinical and industrial implications of this research.
Fundació La Marató de TV3
Supports research coordinated projects about cancer between several research centres in Spain.
Bull designs, implements and runs internationally renowned solutions for public and private sector organizations alike, that transform information systems into positive drivers for excellence, differentiation and value-creation
ELIXIR-EXCELERATEELIXIR unites Europe’s leading life science organisations in managing and safeguarding the massive amounts of data being generated every day by publicly funded research. It is a pan-European research infrastructure for biological information.ELIXIR was invited to apply to a dedicated call within Horizon 2020 following the ESFRI and European Council decision in 2014 to categorize ELIXIR as one of Europe’s three priority new Research Infrastructures. ELIXIR-EXCELERATE represents ELIXIR’s submission to this Call.
Citrusgenn ProjectSeveral public and private entities, including the Valencian Institute of Agrarian Research (IVIA) and the Principe Felipe Research Centre (CIPF), collaborate in this project, which aims to develop genomic and biotechnological tools to facilitate the generation and selection of new lines and varieties of citrus.
Spanish agency for international cooperation. The AECID promotes collaborations between Researchers in Spain and in emergent countries.
The FUTURE CLINIC project main objective is the research of the necessary methodologies and techniques to introduce personalized genomic medicine in the health system.
CEGENThe Spanish National Genotyping Centre (CeGen) was created at the end of the year 2003 by Fundación Genoma España, launched by the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Science.CeGen´s objective is to provide research groups at institutes, universities, hospitals and companies with the tools and infrastructure necessary to carry out high-throughput SNP (Single Nuceleotide Polymorphisms) genotyping projects in order to be able to compete on an international level.
Red Temática de Investigación Cooperativa en CáncerThe Spanish Network for Cooperative Research in Cancer gaters more than one hundred cancer researchers from Spain. Our department is part of the Genomics Proteomics and Bioinformatics program of the network.
Proyecto DeméterScientific-technic knowledge generation in wine-producing sector to face the new challeges in climate change impact.
Genoma EspañaGenoma España was created to promote the development of research in Genomics and Proteomics, boosting Spain's active participation in biotechnological advances
INDIGOThe Indigo project (Integrated Highly Sensitive Fluorescence-based Biosensor for Diagnostic applications) is a Specific Targeted Research Project (STREP) supported by the Sixth Framework program of the European Commission, dedicated to the development of innovative biosensors for diagnosis and healthcare applications.
EMERALDEMERALD (Empowering the Microarray-Based European Research Area to Take a Lead in Development and Exploitation) is a project to establish and disseminate quality metrics (QC), microarray standards and best laboratory practices (QA) throughout the European microarray community.
CetegenThe Generalitat Valenciana, Sistemas Genómicos and Genoma España collaborate, since March 2007, to carry out an ambitious research project ''New therapeutic approaches to Myotonic Dystrophy: Functional Genomics and in vivo drug discovery studies''. The project involves as well the participation of the Prince Felipe Research Centre, Valentia Biopharma S.L., the Science and Technology University Institute of Barcelona, and the Biomar Institute of León.
