NGS course: from reads to candidate genes

The fourth edition of the successful CIBERER / BIER Course on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis.
The course includes an introduction to NGS technologies, data preprocessing (QC, bias detection, etc.), sequence alignment to reference genomes, variant calling (SNVs and indels), interpretation of the results and different ways of gene prioritization. Hands-on sessions using the BiERapp will allow students carry out variant and gene prioritization studies in different contexts (families, trios and case controls) of diseases with different inheritance models, etc.
