Next Generation Sequencing Data Analysis

The Genomics and Bioinformatics Platform of Andalusia, in collaboration with BULL, is pleased to inform you about the " Next Generation Sequencing Data Analysis course (2nd edition)", to be held at the “Aulario del Instituto Andaluz de Administración Pública, Junta de Andalucía ” (Cartuja 93 Scientific and Technology Park, Seville), from February 5th to the 7th, 2014.

Course description:
This course is a hands-on course for the analysis of genomics/transcriptomics Next Generation Sequencing data. We will provide an introduction to NGS technologies and its applications to focus on genomic variant discovery and transcriptomic studies. By the end of the course, participants will have acquired skills to interpret NGS data and to use multiple software tools for genetic variant detection and for transcriptomics studies.

The course comprises tutorials and practical exercises to be solved after the lectures.

Target audience:
The course is oriented to experimental researchers, post-doctoral and PhD students in the field of Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Bioinformatics and related disciplines who want to be initiated on Next Generation Sequencing data analysis and want to learn about the state-of-the-art of genomic variant and transcriptomics data analysis methodologies

Course pre-requisites:
