Functional NGS deals with the utilization of high-throughput sequencing to understand different functional aspects of the genomes, from transcriptional activity (RNA-seq), to epigenetics (Methyl- seq), DNA-protein interactions (Chip-seq), etc. These NGS applications have opened new possibilities to explore genome functioning and require appropriate bioinformatics developments for an accurate analysis. Objectives are:
